05 — The Shop

Sawdust, steel and stubborn standards.

This is a working Toronto shop, not a showroom. The people who draw your cabinetry are the same people who cut it, sand it, finish it — and hang it on your wall.

Why one shop

Everything under one roof.

We started in 2009 with two benches, a table saw and a simple observation: handoffs are where quality dies. Every time a job passes from a designer to a factory to a subcontracted installer, something gets lost — a scribe line, a tolerance, an excuse.

So we never split the chain. Drawings, milling, veneer work, finishing and installation all happen inside the same 8,000 square feet — machines where machines are better, hands where hands are better, and one crew answerable for the whole thing.

What we won't compromise

Three rules of the floor.

RULE 01

Honest materials

Real 19 mm plywood carcasses, real veneers, hardware we'd put in our own homes. If a material can't survive a decade of daily use, it doesn't get through the door.

RULE 02

Details you can't see

The back of a drawer box gets the same care as the front of a door. The carcass is built like the fronts — because you'll live with what's inside long after the first impression fades.

RULE 03

Leave it better

Drop sheets down, dust extraction on, off-cuts out with us. We treat your site like the shop floor — swept at the end of every day, cleaner than we found it at the end of the job.

“Half a millimetre doesn't sound like much until you stack it across twelve doors. We chase the half millimetre so you never have to think about it.”
